Admission

The Museum is open to the general public; all visitors are asked to make a free-will donation in support of the Museum’s operational costs.

Hours

1st full week of March thru 2nd week of December:
Monday – Friday: 10 AM – Noon
Other times open by appointment

3rd week of December thru end of February:
Open by appointment only

The Museum is OPEN by appointment during all other times.

Directions

From U.S. Hwy 34 and State Hwy 48 intersection on the north side of Red Oak:

  • Go south on Hwy 48 1.5 miles to Short Street.
  • Turn left/east on Short Street; go 2 blocks to Second Street.
  • Turn right/south on Second Street; go 1 long block to the entrance of the 
  • Restored BN Depot & World War II Museum driveway on your right.

 

From State Hwy 48 south of Red Oak:

  • Pass under the railroad overpass; continue north on Hwy 48 to Short Street.
  • Turn right/east on Short Street; go 2 blocks to Second Street.
  • Turn right/south on Second Street; go 1 long block to the entrance of the 
  • Restored BN Depot & World War II Museum driveway on your right.

Accessibility & Parking

The Museum is handicap accessible by parking on the west side of the Depot; access the paver walkway at the south area of the parking area.

Enter on the accessible ramp into the south door .

Parking is free.  Parking on the Museum campus is somewhat limited due to the historic driveway and elevated location of the Depot.  

15-20 cars may be parked on the Museum campus at this time.  Additional free parking is available on the streets adjacent to the Museum campus.
