In-Kind Donations

Throughout the year the Museum seeks assistance with ongoing and special projects. Many local businesses have generously donated special skills, materials and services to defray the cost of these projects.  If you or your business would like to donate in-kind services, the Museum will acknowledge your donations on the website and social media.  The Museum can use help with the following services:

  • Landscaping and lawncare – mowing, trimming, weeding, mulch, etc.
  • Periodic deep cleaning services – periodic washing of the wood floors, carpet deep cleaning, windows washing (outside & inside) and other seasonal cleaning
  • New tables, stacking chairs and chair trolley for events
  • Male mannequins for World War II uniform exhibits

Become A Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of the Museum’s day-to-day operations. Volunteers provide a broad range of assistance that makes the Museum a welcoming place to visit and a great event venue for our community.

Our Museum is looking for 20 or more new volunteers to fill the following roles:

  • Daily docents – Volunteer one day per week for 2-3 hours (Monday – Saturday), greet visitors, show visitors the various galleries and answer questions. Docents will receive an orientation and training on the Museum exhibits and services.
  • Weekly housekeepers – Volunteer 2-3 hours each week to help with basic cleaning services, such as dusting, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, etc.
  • Document cataloging and preservation
  • Exhibit and artifact rotation, organization and display
  • Landscape maintenance – weeding, raking and keeping outdoor campus neat and clean
  • Program developers and presenters – create programs for school field tours; create adult special topics programs; and create special family programs or tours to build Museum traffic throughout the year
